The safety of the elevator during operation is the most important, and the use of the backup power system is particularly critical. It can ensure that the elevator can operate normally during power outages and emergencies. According to the "Standard for Construction of Power Supply and Distribution Facilities in Residential Areas", multi-storey The high-rise residential electricity consumption belongs to the first-class load area, and the electricity user should provide its own emergency power supply. However, when high-rise buildings were first constructed, the requirements for this area were not strict enough. Many high-rise residential communities rarely have backup power supply or designed dual-circuit power supply, and few are equipped with self-use generators, and there are not many dual-line power supply facilities. The industry insiders said that starting the backup power supply in the event of a power outage can restore the elevator to normal operation, and the community without a backup power supply often has elevators in the event of a power outage. Factors such as designing the number and parameters of elevators, setting up a dual-circuit power supply system, backup power supply or one of emergency leveling devices, equipped with elevator video monitoring facilities, and comprehensively considering functions such as first aid and barrier-free access.  

Article 21 stipulates: Passenger elevators and residential elevators in use in public gathering places such as airports, stations, passenger terminals, shopping malls, stadiums, convention and exhibition venues, parks, theaters, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, underground passages, etc. According to the actual situation, the elevator shall be equipped with dual-circuit power supply or backup power supply or emergency leveling device transformation, and elevator video monitoring facilities shall be installed.  

It can be seen that local governments have begun to increase safety regulations during the use of elevators, and the installation and use of emergency power supplies for elevators has become one of the standard configurations.
